So I jumped back into the poker pond last weekend.
PokerStars is having an interesting promotion for the World Series of Poker. You can win a seat to the Main Event ($10,000 Buy in) plus $2,500 spending money, and hotel accomodations during the event, for as little as $7.50, or even free by using 500 FPP’s (Frequent Player Points).
It works by playing in a series of single table sit-n-go’s. (9 players)
You start at step one (With the $7.50 or 500 FPP buy in). If you take first or second place, you proceed to step 2, then if you take first or second on step 2, you proceed to step 3, and so on. Eventually, if you can make it, you’ll get to step 6.
At step 6, first place (again a single table, so we’re talking 9 players) wins the package. 2nd & 3rd place win $1,500, 4th & 5th place $1,000 and 6th pays $500.

So far the best I’ve done is step 3, that’s where I am as of this writing, if I make it to step 6 I’ll be sure to post it on the blog.
